The Board will

  •  To monitor the science and technology coming out of the fellowship, and make suggestions on how this can be developed.
  • To monitor and review what is currently being done to improve the experience of Black and Black heritage staff and students within the Faculty of Engineering in the University of Bristol
  • To give guidance, advice and share ideas as to how Black and Black heritage students and staff can be fully integrated into the Faculty
  •  To recommend good practice from other institutions that enable Black and Black heritage students and staff to achieve equality and inclusion in the Faculty
  • Oversee the maintenance of ED&I work and ensure it is strong academically and internationally recognised.

 The Board will:

  • Maintain a close advisory partnership with the Fellowship
  • Receive updates on the project’s progress and activities
  • Advise on the scientific and technology exploitation of the Fellowship
  • Provide insight and specific knowledge on key topics relevant to ED&I issues that are pertain to Black and Black heritage staff and students
  • Advise and facilitate the Fellowship’s broader ED&I focus within the university, nationally and internationally where relevant
  • Support the project’s impact generating activities
